A Little About Me...

Hi, I’m Miss Sandy...
a lifelong creator, designer and art enthusiast who believes everyone is an artist on their own creative journey.

My love for making something out of nothing began in the early 90s, when I worked for an artist who handcrafted her own paper sculptures, creating art for window displays in NYC.  She built a machine that chopped linen into pulp to make her own paper (before it was a thing) and then molded it into sculptural forms. Watching that process opened my eyes to the magic of turning raw materials into something beautiful.

After earning my degree in Visual Arts, I began my career in graphic design in New York City, working in the fast-paced world of investment banking. Eventually, my path shifted toward entrepreneurship, running my own design business and creating marketing materials for clients nationwide.

Today, I’m a homeschooling mom who continues to share my love of art through teaching and creative workshops. Over the years, I’ve seen how art gives kids confidence, focus and joy. It’s a space where they can experiment freely, make “happy accidents” that turn into discoveries and enjoy the process as much as the result.

Through my classes, I want students to explore, imagine, and create with their hands, away from screens and full of possibility.

We are all artists on our creative journey. The time, curiosity and heart you put into it shape where that journey leads.
